Q.What is the history of the Company?
A.Optionable, Inc. was incorporated in Delaware in February 2000 with a goal of being the leading provider of brokerage services to financial institutions, brokerage firms, energy traders and hedge funds. We specialize in providing our services for the trading of energy derivatives.

In April 2004 we launched our energy futures derivatives services on the floor on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) through our affiliate Capital Energy Services LLC.

Optionable formally launch its brokerage services for crude oil options and swaptions trading in April 2006.

In July 2006, completed and launched OPEX, an electronic brokerage trading platform designed to automate energy derivatives trading between counterparties. OPEX was designed by professional options traders to facilitate strategies that are currently executed on the OTC (over-the-counter market) and on the commodity exchanges.

Our services are designed to meet the needs of participants in the energy derivates markets, which range from trading to accessing a wide range of counterparties with the highest transparency possible.

Optionable provides its clients with: OTC energy derivatives brokerage; energy futures derivatives services on the floor the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX); and derivatives valuation and mark to market services.

Q.What is OPEX?
A.OPEX is a real-time electronic trade matching and brokerage system designed by professional options traders to facilitate strategies that are currently executed on the OTC (over-the-counter market) and on the commodity exchanges. OPEX is configured to trade dozens of option trading strategies employed in the market, offering vital information such as the size of the best bid and ask price, and can be customized by the trader to create individualized strategies. The OPEX trading platform permits traders to execute transactions on OPEX and have them electronically cleared through the award-winning NYMEX ClearPort� clearing technology.
